Meet Dr. Joel Byrne, Board-Certified Dermatologist
Joel S. Byrne, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist who provides medical and cosmetic dermatology care to our patients of all ages from The Woodlands, Houston, Cypress, and surrounding Texas communities.
Education and Training
Dr. Byrne graduated summa cum laude from McNeese State University with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a minor in chemistry. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and then completed a dermatology residency at the Medical College of Georgia.
Professional Research and Accomplishments
While in residency, Dr. Byrne was honored with two prestigious teaching awards—one for dermatology and one for university-based teaching across all residency programs. During his final year of residency, he was named chief resident.
Notably, Dr. Byrne has presented research at the American Academy of Dermatology, Southeastern Consortium for Dermatology, and Congress of Clinical Dermatology meetings.
